Description

Jacques Moatti has photographed the dancers of the Opera for over 20 years Paris, but also the San Francisco Ballet, the Beijing Ballet, the company of the 20th century by Maurice Béjart ...
So he could follow the beginnings of Aurélie Dupont, of Marie-Agnès Gillot, Manuel Legris, Laurent Hilaire and Nicolas Le Riche.
All these star dancers were trained at the Paris Opera dance school, then directed by Claude Bessy.

From the first year of school to the last show, the dancers are photographed in all their "states", on stage, but also in the dressing rooms, behind the scenes, in rehearsals. A hidden side unveiled for us by a talented photographer, and told by an exceptional woman, an essential witness.
