Tricentenary of the French School of Dance - Paper Press Medal
La Monnaie de Paris celebrates the 300th anniversary of the French School of Dance created by Louis XIV in 1713, which today trains the dancers of the Opera Ballet. This 80mm Florentine bronze medal pays homage to the foundations of the French choreographic style, as well as to his work.

In 1713, Louis XIV founded a school of dance intended to perfect the talent of artists according to very precise codes. He thus laid the foundations of the French choreographic style. Three hundred years later, the Ecole de Danse continues its mission: to pass on its tradition to its future artists.
