Description

Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman's first ballet for Opera dancers, Play premiered at the Palais Garnier in December 2017. The choreographer invites the dancers onto a huge playground where emotions and imagination are set free. To original music by Mikael Karlsson, bodies transform into silhouette-merfs or dive into a field of colored balls. A show with communicative energy, Play mixes dance, theater, music and song in a festive spirit, sometimes burlesque, full of humor and not without depth.
