Description
Summary:"Being a dancer means spending a lot of time in front of the mirror. How can I not ask myself at each performance about my role? How should I inhabit it, interpret it and dance it in front of a modern audience? I decided to tell myself as I am, to be able to address those who are unfortunately never represented. It's going to be a long road, but I won't look back. I must accept who I was yesterday and who I still am, star or not. Doesn't the title change anything?"
On December 28, 2016, Germain Louvet was consecrated star dancer after a performance of Swan Lake. Invested with a demand for excellence since his admission to the Paris Opera dance school at the age of twelve, he recounts his passion, summons the works that carry him, those that resist him. But on stage as well as backstage, the star dancer tries to shake up the established order of the dance world.
Germain Louvet makes his voice heard in favor of more diversity, questions the codes that have been inculcated, questions the stereotypes of the body, and questions his practice to the point of overturning the idea of vocation. This story is that of a committed artist, for whom all things that are danced are a cry.
