Description

A leading figure in contemporary photography, Japanese visual artist Hiroshi Sugimoto probes the world in the making and questions the passage of time. Invited for the first time to the Opéra National de Paris, he joins forces with choreographer Alessio Silvestrin, a former collaborator of William Forsythe, for a creation with the dancers of the Company. Blake Works I, based on a selection of songs by composer James Blake, is Forsythe's last piece for the Paris Opera Ballet. The choreography is full of his signature speed and energy.
