Description
A battered father facing the lifeless body of his child. Such is the heartbreaking image fixed on the last bars of Rigoletto. Starting from this drama, Claus Guth constructs a show in which the jester relives his life, a humiliating farce that only the presence of his daughter could soften. In the refuge of a contemporary poetic scenography, haunted by the indelible memory of Gilda, Rigoletto rehearses her awakening to the deceitful love of the Duke of Mantua - "Caro nome? -a candid song, among the most beautiful that Verdi composed for soprano.Product information
